Italian composer and musician Giorgio Giampà has worked on scores for TV, film, and documentaries, mostly for projects in Italy and Russia.
An active member of Rome's hardcore punk scene during his teenage years, he eventually moved into composing. By 2009 he had won the award for Best Score at Sulmona Film Festival, for his work on the documentary Girls Life Trembles. More notable projects occurred in the wake of his initial recognition, including his work on the 2013 film The South Is Nothing. He eventually found his way back to the music industry, where he would collaborate with the likes of Nic Cester (Jet) and the Iskra String Quartet. He went on to win the Best Score Award at Canneseriess 2021 for his work on the TV show Christian. ~ Liam Martin
