In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My dad used to play guitar while my brother and I sang and danced, sometimes to kids’ songs, sometimes the Beatles. I’d sing into his guitar stand like a mic while my brother drummed on Tupperware. Our “shows” were always loud and chaotic.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Lizzy McAlpine, five seconds flat Paramore, Brand New Eyes The Sundays, Reading, Writing And Arithmetic These albums shaped the sound and heart of girl on a hill. Reading, Writing & Arithmetic captures the nostalgia I chase, Brand New Eyes taught me emotional honesty, and Five Seconds Flat pushed me to take bold, unexpected turns in my own writing.

Tell us why you chose this song. “out with lanterns” I have many, but this one makes me cry every time I listen to it because I still need to hear it’s message. I also added a lot of sounds in this song that reminded me of my childhood and the music I grew up listening to so it feels really special.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing Gov Ball was special, my mom, who used to drive me to small shows, got to see me on the big stage. Hearing people say my music helped them through hard times means everything to me. I’m so grateful to share life with them.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Having a song in an anime or book-to-film adaptation would be unreal. Both have inspired me so much, so hearing my music in that world would be wild. I’d also love to create an immersive girl on a hill show where fans can truly step into the world.
