Holly Macve is an alt-country singer who incorporates yodeling and melisma into a version of Western-styled noir pop. Her debut album, 2017's rustic Golden Eagle, was set against American landscapes despite her hailing from the British Isles. She employed lusher arrangements and bigger emotions on the follow-up, Not the Girl, and on 2023's "Suburban House" she proved an apposite duet partner for Lana Del Rey.
