In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Headlining a club in downtown San Jose in 1990 and seeing a line around the block was unreal. Soon after, we played to thousands at an outdoor show — it felt like things were taking off and people were truly feeling the music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Burning Spear, Live In Paris: Zenith '88, Vol. 1 Pablo Moses, A Song (2010 Remastered Version) Steel Pulse, True Democracy Roots reggae with power and purpose, delivered by tight, dynamic bands. These albums had deep grooves, rich production, and plenty of musical intricacy — the kind of sound that inspired us from the start.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Words (2025 Mix)” Originally titled “Two Sides,” this song came together quickly before the Reconsider sessions and wasn’t shaped by live shows. Its initial production was limited by budget; the 2025 mix brings the bass forward and enhances the song’s overall feel.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of our most memorable moments was winning three Bay Area Music Awards in 1995 — Outstanding Independent Album, Outstanding World Beat Album, and Bay Area Club Band of the Year. It meant a lot to have our fan support and hard work recognized.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Though we’re no longer active, we hope to release more material from the vaults. The 2025 Reconsider Special Edition was just the first step, featuring refreshed tracks and some previously unreleased live performances for fans to enjoy.
