Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember seeing REM on the Reckoning tour at the Hollywood Palladium. Something about Michael Stipe performing on crutches because he'd been "bitten by the ocean" and the ragged mystery of the music hooked me and made me want to play as well.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? John Coltrane, Johnny Hartman, John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman Classics Nick Drake, Pink Moon Talk Talk, Laughing Stock Laughing Stock for its trance grooves, improvisatory textures, & hush passion. Pink Moon for its stark emotion & quiet beauty. Coltrane & Hartman for the pure, unbound romance, transcendent performances & sublime sonics. All pure diamonds.
