In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Back in 2001 or so, two of us went to California to meet with the owner of a record company and slept on the beach because we didn't have money for a hotel. When we finally met the guy, we smelled absolutely horrible.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Against Me!, Transgender Dysphoria Blues NOFX, The Decline - Single Rancid, ...and out Come the Wolves All three of these albums deal with personal struggle and fighting a losing battle with the ills of society. We've all been inspired by these underdog anthems and try to add our own personal stories, like these artists have, into our music.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Gods & Cowboys” This was my first collaborative song with my wife, Victoria. Working with her injected a new energy and perspective into the music and lyrics that I never had before. Her creativity and natural knack for songwriting is amazing.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Playing the MMRBQ with The Offspring and Halestorm was a dream come true. Lizzy Hale is one of Victoria's musical heroes, so getting to hang out with her and the rest of the band backstage was incredible, and playing on that huge stage was wild!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We'd love to play Warped Tour or Punk Rock Bowling.
