Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Karnig Sarkissian discovered his talent at the Armenian Theological Seminary, where bishops encouraged him to pursue music. Back in Aleppo, a Homenetmen festival performance led to his first band and musical journey.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Giannis Parios, Se Hriazome Stratos Dionisiou, I Megaliteres Epitihies Tou Karnig Sarkissian’s style was shaped by Giannis Parios and Stratos Dionisiou. Inspired by the "Se Hriazome" and "I Megaliteres Epitihies Tou" albums, he blended their storytelling with Armenian patriotic songs.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Housher” Karnig Sarkissian’s "Housher" reflects the struggles of lyricist Hovhaness Giragossian, which deeply resonated with him. After Giragossian’s passing, his widow gave Karnig his lyrics, including "Poghin," which conveys Hovhaness's views on materialism
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? in the 70s, Karnig's concerts began with folkloric songs, followed by a second half dedicated to patriotic music. The noticeable shift in the audience’s mood during the latter inspired him to focus solely on patriotic songs.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Karnig feels fulfilled by his musical contributions. However, the current state of Armenia and its future path make him reflect on his past songs and those still left to sing.
