This Swedish hip-hop duo comprised Wincent (aka Vinny) and Crazy G., backed by their friend, writer and producer Håkan Libdo. Look Twice formed in 1992 to offer the Scandinavian world their ‘positive’ brand of rap music, promoting strong humane messages in their lyrics rather than self-aggrandisement or the chastising of rap peers common to American hip-hop. They specialised in a fast verbal delivery reminiscent of the UK reggae MC ‘chatting’ style. This was highlighted on their initial two singles for the Swedish MNW dance label, ‘Shake That Rump’ and ‘Good Thing’. Released in 1993, both failed to secure an international audience.
