A pioneering beatmaker on the U.K. drill scene, London-based M1OnTheBeat's production catalog has included many of the genre's most iconic tracks, like Loski's "Money and Beef," CGM's "Next Up?," Digga D's "Woi," Headie One's "Golden Boot," and Drake and Headie One's "Only You Freestyle." He found early success with fellow U.K. producer MkThePlug; the two quickly became strong collaborators, co-producing CGM's "Play for the Pagans" and CB's "Take That Risk." Building a sound with brooding sonics and stormy 808s, M1 has had a defining impact on the sound of the genre.
