Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. For some reason I have this memory of in the backseat of the car, windows down, sunny day and Jill Scott "Golden" is blasting. "I'm living my life like it's golden, living my life like it's golden" I'm smiling and singing every word...a toddler maybe
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? H.E.R., H.E.R. SZA, Ctrl Steve Lacy, Steve Lacy's Demo - EP SZA + HER's voices were the calming soundtrack as I came into my own & Steve's demo felt ethereal yet relatable. Him making it on his iPhone was beyond inspiring, leading me to the same for my first song.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “God Help Me” I wrote this when I felt beyond overwhelmed and anxious. At times, I still feel that way and all I can muster up the courage to say or pray is God Help Me / "Please remind me to breathe, remind me to be, (remind me) to live in one piece"
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? By far it was my Third Coast Radio All Star show performance in Sept 2022. I felt so at peace, supported and comfortable in the vulnerability of my songs. Truly one of my favorite experiences as a performing artist.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is so much on my bucket list. One is traveling and seeing the world. I almost want the first I travel outside of the country to be for a performance or music festival. I also want to create an oatmeal flavor.
