Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember sitting in my bedroom in the 1970s singing along to Blondie’s Parallel Lines
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Blondie, Parallel Lines Lloyd Cole, The Commotions, Rattlesnakes (Deluxe Edition) Bonus Tracks The Smiths, Hatful of Hollow I am drawn to the stories in these albums, the melodies and the artistry. You can hear the personality in their voices and the studio processing hasn’t made them bland. They are timeless albums.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “At the Colony” It is special because it is about a specific place and time. I am not singing about myself but I am singing in my own voice. This track has a ghostly mood and there is melody in it.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I have done many music projects, with many moments in them, but the most memorable moment is the most recent one when I decided to learn to self produce. It is empowering to have control over your own creativity.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would like to develop a modest fan base who follow what I am doing and is eager to hear my new work. Some local station radio play would be nice. And a satisfying collaboration with someone I am yet to meet.
