In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember my father taking me to see Pat Metheny when I was young. It was a life altering experience. It made me want to learn guitar, and made me want to write and perform music. I can still see Pat up there right now.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “A Tiny Spark” This song felt like a description of my death and rebirth in music, where I went from played tech death metal, and rediscovered myself through folk music & modern soul. I ended a band I played in for a decade, and channelled that into what I do now.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My CD release show in Nov. 2019 was a really memorable time as well. We played what was probably one of the best shows we've ever done as a band, to a crowd full of people who really cared. It was magical, and made me yearn to get back on the road.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's plenty left on my bucket list. I'd love to spend some more time on the road - tour the US again, Canada, Europe, Asia, share my tunes as far and wide as I can. There are some venues I've yet to play, and colleagues I'd love to collab with.
