Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My career began at 11, when I was offered a recording contract in South Africa. The immense positive energy from the huge audience at my first outdoor park concert with the Kwa-Zulu-Natal Philharmonic Orchestra was transformative and empowered me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Berliner Barock Solisten, Dorothea Röschmann, Rainer Kussmaul, Thomas Quasthoff, Bach: Dialogue Cantatas Francis Colpron, Karina Gauvin, Les Boreades de Montreal, Purcell: Opera Music & Arias Jos van Immerseel, Sandrine Piau, Debussy: Mélodies Debussy": Mélodies": Piau's vocal colour and poetic brilliance are from another sphere - unsurpassed. "Bach Dialogue Cantatas" with Dorothea Röschmann & Quasthoff: perfect musical style. "Purcell" with Karina Gauvin: sublime sensuous singing.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Armida abbandonata, HWV 105: No. 2a, Ah, crudele” "Ah crudele" on my album "in dolce abbandono” is special to me as it is accompanied only by continuo, allowing for delightful freedom and flexibility in ornamentation and interpretation: intimate and raw emotion, coupled with great musical chemistry.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My operatic debut in Vienna, performing in Shostakovich's opera "The Nose." The role was dramatically intense, and the experience was artistically groundbreaking, helping me break out of my shell and surpass expectations.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely! My bucket list is still brimming with dreams, and I eagerly anticipate the beautiful experiences the future holds, in line with my artistic visions.
