In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I would freestyle at the lunch table. In the back of the bus. At bonfires with my friends. Everyone told me the day i release music they would be there to listen. I would make beats with cheap apps on my ipod, and songs on the i am t-pain app.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Drake, Take Care (Deluxe Version)
Kanye West, Graduation
T-Pain, Epiphany (Expanded Edition)
These artists and albums have been with me for a long time. They helped shape my ideals of creativity, individuality and relevance. The albums are as diverse as they are influential. They are inspiration for who i wish to be as an artist.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
After I had dropped my first song, I was recognized at a gas station by a car full of young guys riding together. They shouted something at me. I was reserved. Then they turned up their speakers and were playing me loud. Very surreal.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
Just want to help decorate time with my sound. Capture a moment of who I was. And be remembered for what’s important. Not the music itself. But the human who made it.
