Nicola Cruzについて
Nicola Cruz is an electronic musician, producer, and sound engineer. His beat-centric, trance-inducing style seamlessly melds South American and East Indian folk instruments with polyrhythmic percussion, dubwise production, and electronica. His music invokes and explores his Ecuadorian ancestral heritage, ancient mythologies, and folkloric traditions. Though he has been active since 2012, Cruz's first full-length album, Prender el Alma, was issued by the ZZK in 2015 and took listeners by surprise with its original, organic sound. In 2019, Siku placed historical instruments at the forefront of his mix, months later he followed it with Siku Reworks. The six-track Sentimientos Encontrados and the five-track Arpejos da Floresta followed in 2021, along with a handful of singles. He issued the Self Oscillation EP in 2022 and later that year he was the subject of Fabric Presents Nicola Cruz, a DJ mix sampler. The full-length Kinesia was released in October 2024.
