Originally a music video director who gave a leg-up to young artists, Punjabi creative Parmish Verma eventually picked up a microphone himself, spawning several hits in the process.
• Verma gained popularity when he directed videos for Punjabi artists like Ninja. He also acted in films like 2017’s Rocky Mental.
• With an assist from acclaimed production duo Desi Crew, Verma launched his music career with “Le Chakk Main Aa Gya” in 2017.
• While songs like “Neat” showcase the playboy side to Verma, he often draws from his struggles as a youth studying abroad in Sydney. He dedicated “Kache Pakke Yaar” to international students across the world, and turned nostalgic and playful about his college days in India on “Jab Hum Padheya Karte The”.
• A major collaboration ensued when he recorded 2020 wedding song “Diamond Da Challa” with Neha Kakkar.
