With a track on the Pop Ambient 2004 compilation, Japan's Tetsuo Sakae (production) and Mayuchi (visuals) joined with Cologne, Germany's Kompakt label. A couple months after the duo's first bow, they released the Calm Like a Millpond mini-album, which continued to show them developing their affinity for Cocteau Twins-inspired ambient themes (and titles). ~ Andy Kellman
