Pouyaについて
Miami hip-hop trailblazer Pouya helped to popularize “shadow rap,” a dark and aggressive style known for its violent lyrics.
• After dropping out of high school in the 10th grade to start his rap career, Pouya moved in with his best friend Fat Nick. About a year later, the pair—now known as rap duo Buffet Boys—kicked off their YouTube comedy show The Nick and Pouya Show.
• Pouya delivered his solo debut project, F**k It, in 2012. He followed that with the 2013 streaming hit “Get Buck.”
• Highlighted by an unlikely Ying Yang Twins feature, Pouya’s 2016 debut album, Underground Underdog, cracked the Billboard 200.
• In 2017, Pouya teamed up with Ghostemane for “1000 Rounds,” which garnered over 90 million streams across platforms.
• Pouya’s 2019 album The South Got Something to Say features the likes of Cuco, Ghostemane, Rocci, and Juicy J.
