In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Waking up to the sound of my mom's piano on a Sunday morning is one of my first musical memories. Music was a part of our lives and always happening.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Iron & Wine, Our Endless Numbered Days Jason Isbell, Southeastern Regina Spektor, Home, before and after The honesty in the writing and the beautiful performances on these records continue to inspire me to create music that is true to the artist I am.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ask Me” This song is an emotional roller coaster that takes place in the moment between two people right before someone makes the first move. The music really captures the tension and excitement of that experience.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Winning the Song of the Year award from West Coast Songwriters in 2017 for "Deeper" was a breakthrough moment. It gave me the confidence to create music at a professional level and opened up a whole new world of possibilities.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing Red Rocks in Denver CO is my greatest aspiration. Since I am a solo artist who plays many of the instruments on my recordings, my other bucket list item is to put together a great band that can really make these songs soar at a live show.
