Rochak Kohli is a prolific lyricist and composer of Indian music for Bollywood films.
∙ At the 2012 Mirchi Awards, which recognize top works in Hindi-language film music, he won Upcoming Lyricist of the Year and Upcoming Music Composer of the Year for “Pani Da Rang.”
∙ He’s cowritten multiple songs with award-winning Indian actor and musician Ayushmann Khurrana, including 2015’s “Yahin Hoon Main.”
∙ “Dekhte Dekhte”—a song based on Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s “Sochta Hoon” that was composed for the 2018 movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu—topped the UK Asian Music Chart Top 40.
∙ In 2019, he won Best Music Direction at the International Indian Film Academy Awards for the original soundtrack to 2018’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
∙ Kohli teamed up with US pop artist Lauv for “Dil Na Jaaneya,” which appeared on the soundtrack for the 2019 Bollywood film Good Newwz.
