A Bologna-based DJ and producer who is part of the Toy Tonics crew, Sam Ruffillo specializes in effervescent Italo house tracks with touches of funk and assorted Latin styles. He released his first commercial productions on the local and long-running Irma label in 2018, and shortly thereafter linked with Berlin's Toy Tonics. Sport House, Ruffillo's debut for the label, landed in 2020 and was eclipsed the following year by Italianissimo, an EP highlighted by "Danza Organica" and "Perfetta Cosi," ebullient tracks with breathy vocals from friend Ninfa. She was also featured on the 2022 sequel to Italianissimo, lending her voice to the standout "Chiamami Subito." Ruffillo and Toy Tonics founder Kapote collaborated on 2024's Robot Salsa, an aptly titled 12" with the ecstatic "La La Tune" winning out. Ruffillo delivered his 2025 debut album in the form of Tipo Cosi, previewed in celebratory style with the single "House Tipo Cosi."
