In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. An electric blue First Act guitar, learning the intro solo of Fade To Black, in the basement of my mom's apartment on Ashburn in Thompson, Manitoba. I could barely reach the kitchen cupboards.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Coheed and Cambria, The Second Stage Turbine Blade (Re-Issue) Drake, Nothing Was the Same (Deluxe) John Mayer, The Search for Everything TSSTB got me through high school and helped me work through my first bouts with depression, NWTS brought me into adulthood, taught me confidence in myself, and TSFE solidified my want and need to be the best musician I could be.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “6Am” 6AM is the first song I ever wrote under Sebastian Gaskin, there’s an earnestness to the lyrics that I appreciate listening back on now that I’m almost 100 songs deep.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first European tour with Leela Gilday, she hired me as her guitarist and I ended up opening most of the shows with whatever original music I had written leading up to the tour.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There is plenty left on my bucket list, everything from touring the USA, winning a Grammy, and selling out Madison Square Garden.
