The Norwegian production duo Seeb are famous for their remixes—most notably their smash 2015 reworking of Mike Posner’s “I Took a Pill in Ibiza.”
• Seeb founders Simen Eriksurd and Espen Berg started out writing and producing for other Scandinavian artists. The group name is a combination of their initials.
• Their tropical house remix of “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and No. 1 on the UK pop charts. The track has racked up more than a billion streams.
• Following the success of the Posner remix, Seeb released the original song “Breathe,” which charted around the world and became a massive streaming hit.
• Also in 2016, Seeb remixed Coldplay’s “Hymn for the Weekend,” which went Top 40 in America.
• They have also crafted official remixes for the likes of Taylor Swift, Mick Jagger, and Clean Bandit.
• In 2021, Seeb released their debut album, Sad in Scandinavia.
