Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 6 or so, I was at my grandparents house and my grandpa, a Texas fiddler, had a little bit of recording equipment, he let me sing and hear myself back and it's all I wanted to do for the rest of the day!

This was one of my first songs that felt really authentic to me. I wasn't trying to sound like anyone or impress anyone or thinking about what someone would think about it.
