UK rapper SL was just 15 years old when he exploded onto the drill scene with the singles “Gentleman” and “Tropical” in 2017.
• The fourth-generation South Londoner is of Nigerian descent. Prior to taking up his SL alias, he went by Slimz.
• The burgeoning MC has drawn comparisons to grime legend and fellow Peckham native Giggs.
• SL maintains his mysterious persona by rocking a ski mask whenever possible in public.
• Following the release of 2019’s Everything Good Is Bad EP, SL linked up with producer Kenny Beats for his Selhurst SE25 EP in 2020.
• In 2000, inspired by the Black Lives Matter movement, SL pledged to donate a minimum of £100,000 to charities reaching young people of various ethnicities across the UK.
