Upon their mid-2000s arrival, Ten2Five stood out for not only performing much of their music in English, but also in a largely stripped-down, acoustic fashion, a notable rarity in that era. Their 2004 debut, I Will Fly, and its title track turned the group into an unexpected new force in Indonesian pop, resulting in a Best New Artist win at that year’s Indonesian Music Awards. As they progress, the band keeps expanding their repertoire in Bahasa Indonesia and notched up additional hits in the process, such as 2007’s slow burner “Hanya Untukmu”.
