Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. We all had different experiences that led us to music, but it's in our blood now. We can't stop making music and still live with ourselves. If we didn't write and record and perform we'd be lost souls.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bon Iver, 22, A Million The 1975, The 1975 The Killers, Hot Fuss These are some of the albums that embody our values as musicians. Hot Fuss is all about the band and fun songs. The 1975 takes those things and levels them up with more complex production. 22, A Million takes things past the ordinary into the void.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bliss” This is probably our best work so far. On the surface, it seems like just another breakup song but it's actually about something much more profound and spiritual. Our generation is in the process of breaking up with a lot of things, not just people.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of our songs got a sync in a big television show. It feels like we have our foot in the door now to the mainstream world. We have a long ways to go still.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We want to perform with our heroes like The 1975 or The Killers.
