Vory is a Grammy-winning songwriter, rapper, and singer who has worked with such stars as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Drake, while also releasing his own mixtapes, EPs, and singles.
∙ His mainstream breakthrough came as a cowriter on Bryson Tiller’s quadruple-Platinum Top 20 hit “Don’t,” from the latter’s 2015 debut studio LP, Trapsoul.
∙ Overdose—Vory’s debut mixtape from 2016—featured the viral single “My Life A Movie,” featuring rapper Blu.
∙ He was credited as a songwriter on Drake’s 2019 single “Mob Ties,” which peaked at No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a Top 20 hit in Canada and the UK.
∙ At the 2019 Grammys, his songwriting earned him a Best Urban Contemporary Album win (The Carters’ Everything Is Love) and an Album of the Year nomination (Drake’s Scorpion).
∙ Vory appeared on two tracks—“Middle of It” and “Think It’s A Game”—on Meek Mill’s 2020 EP Quarantine Pack.
