Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I started making music for fun with my dear friend, Allison. Mixtapes and silly raps about shampoo were my start. I typed midi notes using my computer keyboard and remember thinking there had to be an easier way...then I discovered midi controllers.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? East Forest, Jon Hopkins, Ram Dass, Sit Around the Fire London Contemporary Orchestra, RY X, Live from the Royal Albert Hall Ry X has been one of my greatest teachers. I discovered him in my early days of making music and his style woke me from a slumber I didn't know I was in. His live album is transcendent in all forms. Jon Hopkins/East Forest/Ram Dass is pure medicine.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Undone” This song was an untethering, an exhale, a release. It is an honoring and letting go of love I once held close. I physically cut red thread when I was writing this song to set that love free. It felt like an offering and I let it go with gratitude.
