In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a kid, I got mono, and I lost my voice for 6 weeks. When I finally recovered, I started singing, "If you wanna be somebody" from the Sister Act 2 soundtrack, and my family was shocked, because magically, all of a sudden I had a great voice.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dermot Kennedy, Without Fear (The Complete Edition) Henry Jamison, The Wilds Sultan + Shepard, Something, Everything I chose these albums because they each hold a special place in my heart. Collectively, they represent my very creative and chaotic emotional landscape. The rich lyrics and sound evoke deep emotions in me, which help me creative more authentically.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “In the Air” I live in an area prone to severe weather, and tornados in particular, so I wrote this song as I was watching the trees swirl about outside my studio window. There was something special about the anxiety mixed with the creative spark.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have a bucket list of my favorite artists I'd like to collaborate with.
