More than 20 years after their debut hit album, this Chilean rock band are still going strong. Initially under the influence of early ‘90s Britpop and alternative rock, they created their own brand of dream-pop—equally tender and powerful, ranging from ballads like “Carnaval” to the wall of sound of “Ave Fénix”. The guttural tone of lead singer/songwriter Claudio Valenzuena has carried Lucybell through a number of changes to the line-up, becoming the defining factor of the band's distinguishable sound.
