From the late '70s to the mid '80s, Sanullim reigned as one of the most revered rock bands in South Korea. Brothers Kim Chang-wan, Kim Chang-hoon, and Kim Chang-ik found immediate success with a distinctly Korean take on Western garage rock, as heard in the chipper melodies and organ riffs of their first hit, the catchphrase-spawning "Already Now." But Sanullim never stuck to a formula, and through 13 albums they expanded on their talent for writing melodies by adding elements of psychedelia, blues, prog, and punk.
