A Brooklyn boy wonder who began writing songs at age 6, landed a recording contract with Decca at 11, and was a disillusioned pop failure by his early teens, Keith Green found that his music took a dramatic turn when he became a devout Christian as a young adult. His tender, spiritually-intense output laid the ground floor of CCM in the late '70s and early '80s. A man of conviction, the singer/songwriter gave away free LPs and concert tickets to further the gospel message. Tragically, Green died in a plane crash in 1982, but his incomparable work lives on, impacting people around the world.
