Similar to Josie and the Pussycats, BanG Dream! brings to life a set of colourful characters with numerous manga series and a popular TV adaptation. It's the latter that gave rise to the melodic pop-rock glow of Poppin' Party—a group of starry-eyed high school students led by the main character, Kasumi Toyama. But the BanG Dream! story also includes a number of other groups: youthful, circus-themed Hello, Happy World!, goth metal J-rockers Roselia, hard-riffing, rebellious Afterglow and J-pop idol group Pastel*Palettes. All these genres coexist in perfect harmony in the BanG Dream! universe.
