Though Passion Pit performs live with a full ensemble, there's really only one man responsible for the band's musical output: Michael Angelakos. An earnest songwriter with an affinity for electronics and saccharine melodies, Angelakos has accomplished more with this project than most of his peers in the indie world. Taking a fervent, punk approach to electropop, Passion Pit makes no pretensions about the emotions it's trying to convey, letting big bubblegum hooks do all of the talking instead.
