The Japanese experimental troupe Ghost may have built their reputation on crafting meditative, psychedelic music to lose oneself in (the gently strummed vapor mist of “Orange Sunshine” being a key example), but they had a heavy, physical side to their sound as well. “Snuffbox Immanence” mixes biker-bar guitar riffs with vibrating synth tones, and the rolling keyboards on their cover of the Stones' “Live With Me” are practically hip-swiveling.
