One Minute

I’ve got something right here that I need say

 I ‘wanna share a couple problems and keep the wolves at bay

 I’ve got a pain in my chest and an ache in my heart

 I’ve got some wrongs left to right but where do I start?

 I’ve got a woman that I love and a family that’s sweet

 I know I’m lucky just to have them they’re the world to me

 We stand side by side when the chips are down

 They’ll be the ones you find in the lost and found

 It’s been ten long years and a lot has changed

 I’m glad that mums looking better and dads okay

 I was so mad at the world but didn’t know why

 It’s cause the best of my men got shot out the sky

 There isn’t money in my pocket but that’s not a thing

 I’m not a magpie looking for a shiny ring

 Just want a roof overhead and food in my belly

And a lover real close that’s gonna hold me steady

 ‘Gonna miss this house for all it’s worth

I love sitting in the back when I write my words

 In the middle of the night when the moon is young

 That’s my favourite kind of time to light one up

 You know I’ve been here and I’ve been there

 I’ve not seen it all but I’ve seen my fair share

 I’m gonna listen to this back some other night

 I’ll probably hate the way it sounds and the way it writes

 So don’t you mind men it’s a weight off my chest

 I think I’m gonna write another just to say the rest

 I get scared good things will all go wrong

 That’s why I only made this one minute long
