The Kmart Closed in My Hometown 

 Yesterday we lost a good ‘un

 So mama whipped up some banana pudding

 Had PBR’s in the yard and a real good cry

 Then we started reminiscing

 Bout stuff we would be missing

 Mama said nothing hit her like that since Elvis died 

 Now where we gonna get our Aquanet

 Where the good old boys gonna sit and spit

 While their wives are inside dishing dirt

 Trying to make the blue light special first

 What I wouldn’t give for a buggy with a wobbly wheel right now Since the

Kmart closed in our hometown 

 I’m gonna miss those crowded sale racks And if you cut the tags, they cut us

slack

 It’s a round here policy cause it ain’t no crime I’m gonna miss Miss Clark

the greeter 

 I never met a woman sweeter

 The preacher said she got saved r ight on aisle nine Yeah I heard that in the

checkout line
