Meltdown On New Year's Eve

New year's eve is about to start

All of our friends are swarmin' into the house

Yet i'm sitting alone on the bathroom floor

Brought a warm champagne

And I shut the door

I was supposed to have the time of my life

Yet I feel like dyin'

The passing year flashes before my eyes

The older you get, the faster time will fly

And i really hope

That this movie in my head ain't gonna last too long

So instead of having a ball

And my dancin' shoes

And your favorite dress

Oh, i look so cute

The bass is shakin' the house

But I don't feel like dancin'

It's kinda warm on these bathroom tiles

When we got them done

We slept here all night

But now it feels like a lifetime ago

If these tiles weren't here

I wouldn't believe it at all

That we ever had these big dreams

We were on a roll

But now i wanna stay forever

On the bathroom floor

And i don't think that i can fake it anymore

And put on a smile and pretend that i didn't lose it all

The music is getting louder

Someone is bangin' on the door
