An Amber Ballad

AN AMBER BALLAD

When I’m gazing out at our bleak terrain

Where songs resound of the long-gone past

Then my bird- my sorrow flies to me

Overshadows my soul with her wing

When I walk into twilight world

Where bodies are like an amber glow

I don’t know what I can sing about in this fog

In the midst of a thousand voiceless years

I forever will stay on my native shore

With the rocks, the cliffs and the woods

There is neither time nor space in here

Just the lavender dome of the sky
