I'm walking behind a lady

Who's walking behind her dog

Who's walking right by the medicine shop

She stops in her tracks for a second

She must have a script to pick up

It sets off a chain reaction

That hasn't been her job in seventeen months

Now she's crying

I'm playing a show down on 8th street where they always play pool by the bar

They're playing a song we called mainstream

Of course they are good but just so overrated

We set off a chain reaction I didn't think would come back around

'Cause lately it's all I've been playing

And it feels like it always comes on when I'm out

Now I'm crying

My friends went down to an island

So our friend could get down on one knee

My friend didn't know it was coming

So when she turned around she fell down and she screamed

Of course she said"yes" in an instant

Then I found her down by the beach

It set off a chain reaction

When I saw her face I knew what she was thinking

She wasn't crying

But she was feeling it
