Just write until you feel better

It's way cheaper than therapy, you'll find out things you didn't know

And it just may get you one step closer to who you're supposed to be

Don't be afraid to let the past hurt, emotions and insecurities

Bleed through the pen to the pad, it won't be the best night you've ever had

But I guarantee you'll feel lighter

The darkness will disappear, and the sun will shine brighter

I had a few good talks with some newfound friends

The type of conversations that make you realize

The journey to happiness never ends

I learned about things I never knew about myself

Oh, it's too ashamed to admit

I revealed things about myself that I tried desperately to forget

Didn't know I had a fear to commit

I push away anything that could be legit

I love hard, even to my detriment

I don't quit until I've had enough

Some it replaces the blood that runs through my heart

The rest of my blood turns cold

Promise myself that I'll roll solo until I get old

God sent someone to remind me that my true desire is love and honesty

But somehow Murphy's Law seems to find me

I've adopted the habit of expecting it, embracing the need and the toxicity

I feel bad when things feel right

I have to do better because thoughts become reality

And I fully understand that I attract both the good and bad things

That's the real secret

So I'll just write until my spirit is filled with an almost perfect piece

And pray that I put enough words on paper to feel a sense of relief
