Frankly, it’d be a crime to restrain Mannie Fresh’s mind to anything less than 30 tracks. The Southern super-producer lets his creativity run wild on his first solo album: from the hilarious ‘80s-style R&B jam “Not Tonight” to a rapped dialogue between Fresh and his local bureaucracy (“Mayor Song”) to “The DJ,” an epic megamix of his best productions. Lest you forget Fresh is a wholly entertaining rapper in his own right, see “Real Big”—one of the best hooks in Cash Money history.
