In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
When I was little, our car radio was broken. So for entertainment we would drive around singing songs and making up new songs about whatever we were up to that day, or wherever our imaginations were taking us! That is my first songwriting memory. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Jewel, Pieces Of You
Lauren Daigle, Look Up Child
Taylor Swift, Red (Taylor’s Version) [+ A Message From Taylor]
These are three female songwriters I look up to for their powerful, meaningful, and sometimes challenging lyrics, catchy melodies, and songs that moved and inspired me at special times in my life. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song.
“Wild”
I wrote this song on the rock Maine coast, overlooking the vast ocean. It's about wild love, which I hope everyone experiences. Produced at Rocking Horse Studio in NH, the modern instrumentation paints a captivating picture that enhances the lyrics. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Being recognized by the New England Music awards over the years has made me feel humble and grateful. She Is Free and There Is Light were both nominated Album of the Year, and I've been nominated for Songwriter and Female Performer of the year. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I want to continue to make art that inspires me and hopefully resonates with others, share my music with wider audiences, collaborate with musicians I admire, and play more stages around the US. I hope to do this my whole life; to God be the glory.
