Albums van Susannah McCorkle
Biografie van artiest
After cutting her teeth in the on the U.K, club circuit, Susannah McCorkle returned to the U.S. in the late-70s, where a five-month engagement at the Cookery in Greenwich Village brought her rave reviews from critics. By the early-'90s, the release by Concord Records of NO MORE BLUES and SABIA made her a likely candidate for international success. She consolidated her status in jazz with awards, including the 1989 New York Music Award, and was even recorded by the Smithsonian Institute. Her albums of the late-'90s continued to mark her progress as a gifted jazz singer. Tragically however, McCorkle suffered from clinical depression and took her own life in 2001.
