Duelo is a norteño band from Roma, Texas, that formed in 1996.
∙ Singer Oscar Treviño and accordionist Dimas López originally started the group as a duo as Duelo Norteño before expanding into a six-man band.
∙ The band’s 2002 debut album, El Amor No Acaba, produced the early hit “Amiga Solédad,” which earned them a dedicated following in Mexico.
∙ They scored a No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Latin Albums chart with the 2008 album Necesito Más de Ti.
