Country singer Dillon Carmichael began performing in local bars while still in high school and was offered a publishing deal at age 17, right after one of his sets.
∙ He credits his country superstar uncles, Eddie and John Michael Montgomery, with not only inspiring him musically but also with helping him develop a strict work ethic.
∙ The throwback sound of his first single, “Old Songs Like That,” earned Carmichael comparisons to similarly deep-voiced country greats Travis Tritt and Randy Travis.
