About Dominic Miller
Biografie van artiest
Guitarist Dominic Miller is a highly regarded pop, classical, and jazz-influenced player best known for his long association with Sting. Miller initially emerged as a session and studio player in the 1980s before becoming one of Sting's main collaborators. He has contributed to a bevy of the singer's Top Ten albums, from The Soul Cages and Ten Summoner's Tales to The Last Ship, 57th & 9th, and The Bridge. He has also recorded with Phil Collins, the Pretenders, and Chris Botti, among others. Miller's solo albums are largely instrumental, showcasing his nylon-stringed guitar technique and classical influences, as on 1995's First Touch and 2004's Shapes. He earned a Grammy nomination for Best New Age Album for 2008's In a Dream and explored his love of Latin traditions on 2016's Hecho en Cuba. He has also recorded for ECM, releasing 2019's Absinthe and 2023's Vagabond.
