In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. First thing I remember is joining my parents to their close harmony choir where they sung along to Abba, The Mamas and the papas, Burt Bacharach etc. I remember just standing there and feeling the vibration of harmonies on my skin.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Arcade Fire, The Suburbs Fleetwood Mac, Rumours Super Deluxe Edition Tame Impala, Currents Rumours is the basis of what we think music should do: evoke emotion, take you on a journey and make you go through a rollercoaster of emotions without being too cerebral or trying too much. The Suburbs and Currents fit that mission perfectly.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Daggers” If one song encompasses everything we stand for, it is Daggers. This song leapt out of our hearts in songwriting sessions between Hindrance and Imminent EP and was finished right before Covid, but it found its way to people nevertheless.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It is always a big big honour to play in front of a myriad of people, so I guess all huge shows like Rock Werchter. That being said, diving into smaller venues and mingling with the sweat of the people there is unbeatable.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I think travelling around the world with our music. It is the only thing that does not fade or grow old as the years go by, while some hard-to-get industry milestone are easily forgotten once you reach them.
