After launching her career with K-pop outfit MAMAMOO, singer-songwriter and rapper Hwa Sa struck out on her own with a sound that blends electronica, Latin pop, and R&B.
∙ “Don’t,” a duet with rapper Loco that was recorded during her appearance on the 2018 musical reality show Hyena on the Keyboard, shot to No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart.
∙ She has cowritten several of MAMAMOO’s biggest hits, including the Platinum-certified “HIP,” from their 2019 chart-topper, reality in BLACK.
∙ Her debut solo single, “TWIT,” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s K-Pop 100 chart and earned a spot on its list of the 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2019.
